Diantha Grant

began her position as the new Executive Director for the St Johns River City Band in October 2006.  Diantha comes with over 18 years experience in non-profit work including 11 with the Alzheimer’s Association and 6 with Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton.  Prior to that, she was an Assistant Professor in Parks and Recreation in Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.

A graduate of the University of Maine and the University of Illinois, she and her husband, Don, have resided in Jacksonville for eight years.  She is active in the Rotary Club of East Arlington and is currently the President of the Downtown Council of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.  She serves on the board of Community Health Charities.  They have two sons, David (Cindy) and Michael (Nicole), two grandkids, Caitlin and Josh and two dogs, Majec and Griffin.  Diantha’s parents, Bob & Becky Hawkes, live in Arlington.
